‘The Showpen Homer’ is an illustrated novella about a pigeon and it's adventures across Brisbane. It is a homage to a technical manual that my Dad wrote in 1989 to help pigeon fanciers ‘grasp the important aspects of the breed’ known as Showpen Homer.  The book is 170 pages  and includes 82 drawings. It was written and drawn in situ in front of wild pigeons in Brisbane. The book was launched on Sunday 19th March on the grassy area outside the State Library in Melbourne.
